Give the story a strong start

Four things to send.

Help an editor understand the achievement and find the right person to speak with.

  1. Your finished release

Name the recognized subject and explain why it matters to your community. Remove every placeholder.

  2. A useful photograph

Include a clear image, caption, credit and permission to publish.

  3. A verification link

Use the correct credential URL and exact trustmark name. Obtain official artwork through STEM ID verification.

  4. A reachable media contact

Name a person who can confirm details, provide approved quotes and arrange an interview.

Press templates are publicly available. Downloading one does not confer recognition or unlock trustmark artwork. Use templates only for recognition you hold under the STEM.org Trustmark Usage Guidelines.

03 / Make the most of your recognition

Ideas for using your trustmark

Explore 54 practical placements across six credential categories and the corporate logo collection, plus answers to 16 common questions. Suggestions apply only to your awarded scope and the terms of your active credential.

1. Name what was recognized

Identify the exact person, product, program, title, learner achievement or award recipient beside the artwork.

2. Make the claim verifiable

Link to the correct credential. For print, place a STEM ID or labeled verification QR code beside the seal.

3. Check the finished layout

Keep artwork intact and legible at the final phone, desktop or print size.

Which STEM IDs have assets?

All six categories below are supported. Each valid credential also unlocks eight corporate logo files. Open a category for its artwork coverage, eight ideas and sample wording.

STEM.org Authenticated™Products · Early Childhood and Ages 3+8 ideas

Available artwork: 12 files per age library. Both age libraries appear after verification. Select only the one matching the awarded product and age range; do not mix the two families.

  • Product detail pages

Place the seal beside the exact evaluated model, with its name and credential link.

  • Retail listings

Add it to the recognized product’s image gallery or description where the retailer permits; keep unrelated items out of the claim.

  • Packaging panels

Use a legible seal on the awarded product’s box, sleeve or label, with a STEM ID or verification QR code nearby.

  • Instruction booklets

Include it on the named product’s introduction or learning-activities page.

  • Catalog entries

Place it beside each recognized item, rather than above a mixed catalog of evaluated and unevaluated products.

  • Trade-show displays

Pair it with a display of the exact awarded product and a label naming that product.

  • Product videos

Add a closing frame naming the recognized product and linking to its credential in the description.

  • Launch emails

Feature the seal in a dedicated block about the awarded product, with a verification link.

Example wording to adapt

[Exact product name] is STEM.org Authenticated™ for [awarded scope]. Verify STEM ID [ID]: [credential URL].

Replace bracketed fields with facts from your active credential.

Keep the scope clear: Keep recognition attached to the evaluated product. Other models, bundles, brands and the entire product line are not automatically included.

STEM.org Accredited™Schools / Educational Programs · ESP / Educational Experiences8 ideas

Available artwork: 12 matching files. The verified credential selects school/building or educational experience/rocket artwork. Use the family returned for that credential.

  • Program landing pages

Place the seal by the specific recognized program, school or experience and state the covered location.

  • Admissions materials

Use it in a brochure section that names the awarded school or program.

  • Course or camp listings

Pair it with the particular recognized offering; keep unrelated courses separate.

  • Campus signage

Display it at the recognized location with the name of the awarded school or program.

  • Parent information packs

Explain the program’s recognition and include a link or QR code to the credential.

  • Open-house presentations

Add a recognition slide naming the exact program and scope.

  • Program proposals

Use it beside the recognized educational experience in a proposal, with accurate scope wording.

  • Program newsletters

Include it in updates about the recognized program, supported by a verification link.

Example wording to adapt

[Exact school, program or experience] holds STEM.org Accredited™ recognition for [awarded scope/location]. Verify STEM ID [ID]: [credential URL].

Replace bracketed fields with facts from your active credential.

Keep the scope clear: Do not put STEM.org Accredited™ on student certificates. Accreditation of a program does not award a personal credential to every staff member or learner, or cover additional locations.

STEM.org Certified™Master Trainers · Fellows8 ideas

Available artwork: 12 shared files. Master Trainers and STEM Fellows use the same STEM.org Certified™ trustmark and artwork library. The verification portal identifies the holder’s Master Trainer or STEM Fellow status. Describe your qualification exactly as it appears on your verified credential.

  • Professional bios

Place the trustmark beside the credential holder’s name and exact qualification.

  • Email signatures

Use a small, legible PNG below your name; link it to your individual credential.

  • Professional profiles

List the exact credential title in an appropriate qualification section and add the verification URL.

  • Résumés and CVs

Pair the seal with your credential title and STEM ID in the qualifications section.

  • Speaker introductions

Use it beside your biography in a conference program or speaker page.

  • Presentation title slides

Identify the named presenter as the credential holder without implying the whole event is recognized.

  • Staff directory entries

Show it within your own profile, rather than as a qualification of every employee.

  • Training proposals

Use it in the trainer biography section and distinguish your personal qualification from the course’s status.

Example wording to adapt

[Full name] holds the [exact credential title] from STEM.org. Verify STEM ID [ID]: [credential URL].

Replace bracketed fields with facts from your active credential.

Keep the scope clear: This is recognition of the named individual. It does not make an employer, course, student or team STEM.org Certified™, and downloading artwork does not authorize credential issuance.

STEM.org Reviewed™Books · Curricula · Educational content8 ideas

Available artwork: 12 files. Match the title, edition, version and content scope named in the credential. A different edition or related series is not automatically included.

  • Title landing pages

Place the seal beside the reviewed title and edition with a credential link.

  • Book covers or back covers

Use it on the actual reviewed edition, keeping the complete artwork legible.

  • Curriculum overview pages

Identify the particular reviewed curriculum and covered version.

  • Digital resource title pages

Pair it with the name of the evaluated resource inside the PDF or learning platform.

  • Publisher catalogs

Use it beside the individual reviewed entry rather than as a badge for the entire catalog.

  • Educator sample packs

Include it where the sample clearly identifies the reviewed work it comes from.

  • Media kits

Provide a recognition fact sheet naming the reviewed title and linking to its credential.

  • Content announcements

Use it in a post or email about the exact reviewed publication, with edition details.

Example wording to adapt

[Exact title and edition/version] is STEM.org Reviewed™ for [awarded content scope]. Verify STEM ID [ID]: [credential URL].

Replace bracketed fields with facts from your active credential.

Keep the scope clear: Use the mark for the evaluated content, not as blanket recognition of its publisher, author or all publications. Do not imply government curriculum approval or guaranteed outcomes.

STEM.org Endorsed™Exemplary Students · Learner achievement8 ideas

Available artwork: 12 files. Use the artwork only for the learner and achievement identified on the active credential. Follow the applicable learner-recognition and issuance terms.

  • Learner portfolios

Pair the seal with the already awarded achievement and the learner’s credential link.

  • Achievement profiles

Add it to the recognized learner’s biography or appropriate profile section.

  • Applications

Include it with the existing credential in a scholarship, internship or further-study application where relevant.

  • Project showcases

Display it beside the recognized learner achievement only when that project is within the awarded scope.

  • Recognition announcements

Celebrate the named learner and exact achievement, with appropriate consent for public sharing.

  • Award-event slides

Use it on a slide about the actual credential recipient rather than labeling every participant.

  • Learner résumés

List the exact achievement and verification details in the awards or credentials section.

  • Achievement records

Share or reference the issued credential in an achievement record; follow the authorized issuance process for any new certificate.

Example wording to adapt

[Learner name] earned [exact learner-achievement title], recognized through STEM.org Endorsed™. Verify STEM ID [ID]: [credential URL].

Replace bracketed fields with facts from your active credential.

Keep the scope clear: A school’s program recognition does not automatically endorse its students. Downloading artwork does not authorize new STEM.org credential issuance; follow the authorized issuance process. Do not use the learner mark to recognize an organization or product.

Best In STEM™Separate Top 5% award8 ideas

Available artwork: Round + Classic seals. Enter the Best In STEM™ award’s own STEM ID. Another trustmark ID, an assessment score or a shared organization name does not unlock this award.

  • Awarded product or program pages

Show the award near the recognized subject alongside its applicable, active underlying trustmark.

  • Recognition pages

Give the award its own entry, with the exact recipient, award year or term when stated, and verification link.

  • Award announcements

Use the seal in a post about the actual Best In STEM™ recipient and identify the Top 5% distinction accurately.

  • Packaging or brochures

Use the Round or Classic version where the awarded subject is clear and both marks remain legible.

  • Trade-show materials

Place the seal beside the actual award recipient’s display; keep broader brand claims separate.

  • Sales presentations

Add an award slide naming the exact recognized subject and any stated award term.

  • Press releases

Include the award seal and a factual recognition statement with a link to the award credential.

  • Customer emails

Feature an award block about the recognized subject, with a separate verification link for its underlying trustmark where shown.

Example wording to adapt

[Exact awarded subject] received Best In STEM™ Top 5% recognition [award year/term, if stated]. Verify the award: [award credential URL].

Replace bracketed fields with facts from your active credential.

Keep the scope clear: Best In STEM™ is an additional distinction and does not replace the underlying trustmark. Keep both claims within their awarded scope and current status; do not describe the award as “#1,” “best overall” or a broader ranking than was awarded.

  • Announcement graphics

Keep it separate from your own logo and clearly identify the recognized subject.

  • Internal brand handoffs

Give your designer the official issuer artwork with the exact credential scope and approved trustmark files.

Use alongside the correct trustmark: Corporate artwork does not represent the credential itself, replace its trustmark, or imply sponsorship, ownership, partnership or approval of unrelated offerings. Keep separate logos separate.

Choose the right file and placement

PNG · Everyday digital use

Use for websites, email signatures, slides and social graphics. Preserve transparency where supplied. Size proportionally, avoid enlarging a small file, and add alt text naming the trustmark and recognized subject.

EPS / AI · Professional artwork

Where supplied, give these to your designer or printer for scalable production. They may require design software. Do not edit the official artwork; check the final proof and legibility.

TIFF · Raster production files

Where supplied, TIFF may suit a print workflow. It does not scale like vector artwork. For a website or email, choose an available PNG. File formats differ by collection.

Positive or negative · Contrast

Choose the supplied version that remains clear on your background. Positive generally suits a light background and negative a dark one. Preview both without changing their colors.

Round, horizontal or vertical · Fit

Try a round seal in a square space, horizontal artwork in a wide header, and vertical artwork in a narrow panel. Use a supplied layout and keep the full seal visible with breathing room.

Mobile, desktop and print · Final checks

Keep the seal near its subject when the layout stacks. Check text and links on a phone, avoid busy backgrounds, and test printed QR codes at their final size.

04 / Common questions

Common questions, answered

Which STEM ID should I enter?

Enter the numeric ID on your own credential or certificate record. Use an individual credential ID, not a group number, order number or application reference. Different credentials can open different libraries.

Do Master Trainers and STEM Fellows use the same trustmark?

Yes. Master Trainers and STEM Fellows use the same STEM.org Certified™ trustmark. The seal itself does not distinguish the two statuses. The holder’s Master Trainer or STEM Fellow status can be found in their credential record in the verification portal. Enter the holder’s STEM ID to check the designation, and use the exact credential title shown in that verified record when describing the qualification. Open the verification portal.

Why does my ID open only one category?

Access follows the credential you verified. Holding one category does not grant rights to the others. Verify each separate credential in turn; entering a different ID clears the previous result.

Why are there two product age libraries?

STEM.org Authenticated™ products share an access category, so both Early Childhood (0–36 months) and Ages 3+ libraries are shown. Use only the family that matches your awarded product scope. If the age scope is unclear, contact STEM.org before selecting artwork.

Why do schools and educational experiences see different artwork?

The portal selects the STEM.org Accredited™ school/building or educational experience/rocket collection from the verified credential. Use the collection returned for that ID.

Are the corporate logos included for everyone?

Every supported, valid credential opens eight STEM.org corporate logo files: horizontal and vertical, positive and negative, in PNG and EPS. These identify STEM.org; they do not replace an awarded trustmark or establish a partnership.

What happens when a credential expires?

Expired or otherwise ineligible credentials cannot unlock downloads. Previously downloaded files do not extend usage rights. Remove artwork and claims of current recognition when the associated credential ends. Any historical reference must be clearly dated and must not suggest current status.

What if verification fails?

Check the numeric ID and the status on your credential record. A service interruption does not mean recognition was revoked; retry later. If the record appears valid but access still fails, contact info@stem.org with the STEM ID and error message. Do not send passwords.

Can I put STEM.org Accredited™ on student certificates?

No. STEM.org Accredited™ identifies the awarded school, program or experience. Learner achievement belongs to the separate STEM.org Endorsed™ pathway when its eligibility and issuance requirements are met. Asset access alone does not authorize new credentials.

Can I use the seal across our whole business?

Only if that full scope was actually awarded. One recognized item, title, person, program or location does not cover a whole catalog, team, network or future release. Put the seal close to the named subject so the scope is clear.

Can I resize or change the artwork?

Scale it proportionally and check that all text stays readable at the final display size. Do not crop, rotate, stretch, recolor, redraw, remove trademark indicators or merge it into another logo. Use the supplied positive or negative version for contrast.

Where should a digital seal or QR code lead?

Link to the correct subject’s public credential, not just your home page. Place a QR code beside the seal without modifying the artwork, label it “Verify credential,” and test it on a phone. Check the linked record matches the claim.

Can our designer, printer or retailer use the files?

Provide the correct official files only for work about the awarded subject, along with its scope and current credential link. This does not transfer recognition to the vendor or permit them to reuse the seal for other clients or products.

Can I show Best In STEM™ instead of my trustmark?

No. Best In STEM™ adds a separate distinction. Use the applicable underlying trustmark for the underlying recognition and the award seal for the Best In STEM™ claim. Each displayed claim must have its own valid basis.

Can I call this government approval or guarantee results?

Do not describe recognition as government licensing, state approval, a safety certification, guaranteed learning results or institutional accreditation beyond what was actually awarded. Use the precise credential title and supported scope.

Can I publish the example wording as written?

Replace every bracketed field with verified facts from your credential and check the current status first. Add a year, location, edition or age range only when supported by the awarded record. Never publish placeholders or an unearned recognition claim.

For the complete requirements, read the STEM.org Trustmark Usage Guidelines. Contact info@stem.org before publishing a claim outside the scope of your credential.
